History

KREYER is since more than 50 years the expert in the area of temperature control during vinification.

The brand KREYER, founded 1970 in Villefranche sur Saône / France, originates from the center of the Beaujolais wine production area. The original factory began its production with cooling equipment for industrial needs. In the 1980s the focus of production turned to wine cooling units. The steady sales growth brought about the transfer to larger facilities and expansion of sales to other European countries. In 1998 the activity was bought by an Austrian / American / German partnership. Since 1999 the headquarters of WTG has been located in the triangle Germany, France and Luxembourg – in the heart of the Mosel winegrowing region.

Over the years the WTG range of products was expanded by the addition of temperature control, fans and further accessories for winemaking, positioning WTG on the wine production map as a supplier of complete installations for wine processing.

Having  outgrown our location we relocated to a larger facility in Föhren, which is about 15 km from our former site in Trittenheim. From here design, development, marketing, distribution and service are coordinated. All our products are manufactured in Europe.

Over the years, we have continuously expanded our product range and fields of operation to include the beer industry as well as cognac/brandy and fruit juices. The scope of the company had widened and became more international and to reflect this we changed the company name to WTG - QUANTOR GmbH.

WTG-QUANTOR GmbH is today present all over the world, through own sales-offices, distributors or service partners. Its business relationships under the brand names Quantor and Kreyer spread over more than 80 countries on all five continents.
