History

For over 50 years, KREYER has been THE reference in temperature control during vinification. Our roots trace back to the founding in 1970 in Villefranche-sur-Saône, the heart of winemaking in Southern France. Originally focused on cooling systems for industrial needs, in the 1980s, we found our way to become leading manufacturers of wine temperature control systems.

Continuous growth allowed us to expand our production facilities and venture into European countries. In 1998, new owners from Germany, Austria, and the USA took over the company. Since 1999, our headquarters have been situated in the tri-border region of Germany, France, and Luxembourg, at the heart of the Mosel wine region.

Expanding our product portfolio to include temperature control systems, thermoventilators, and other accessories, we successfully established ourselves as a complete system provider for wine process cooling. This success led to our move to modern, spacious buildings in the industrial area of Föhren near Trier in 2016.

From here, we now coordinate production, sales, development, project planning, marketing, and service worldwide in close collaboration with our distribution and service partners.

Over the years, our products have adapted to new applications in the beverage industry. In addition to wineries, the beer industry, as well as producers of cognac, spirits, and fruit juices, now appreciate our solutions. This broader and more international orientation is reflected in our new company name: WTG-Quantor GmbH.

Today, the QUANTOR and KREYER brands are present worldwide through our own sales offices, distributors, or service partners. We have business relationships with over 80 nations on all five continents.
